‘SAHAILEE’ - Pakistan Hotline Campaign

A hotline was launched in Pakistan in June 2010 that gave information about how women can use the medication misoprostol to have a safe abortion, or to prevent dangerous hemorrhaging after giving birth.

"ASAP continued its work in advocating for access to Safe Abortion in the year 2010.

ASAP has implemented its work on a series of projects/ activities through various donors and collaborations in many countries of Asia.

In addition to this ASAP has worked in collaboration with other organizations working in the field of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights such as Centre for Reproductive Rights (CRR) and Women's Global Network for Reproductive Rights (WGNRR) for conducting workshops, and with many country level organizations to conduct the Media workshops and the Hotline Campaign."

Mass Media Workshop changes my life and Vietnam people’s lives

The Mass Media workshop in Hanoi supported by ASAP for 10 journalists from different newspapers, radio and television on Sexual/Reproductive Health Rights and Adolescent Reproductive Health was held by REACOM in August, 2010. During the workshop and the followed field trip, the attended journalists had chance to put their feet into adolescents’ shoes to really understand adolescents’ needs. Through the activities in the Young Club they understand that adolescents in Vietnam have very poor knowledge about SRH and they are so shame to talk about this topic. They also understand the consequences of this problem are unwanted pregnancies, unsafe abortion and spreading STIs among adolescents.
